Strategies to Build Inclusive Classrooms That Thrive
Every school wants its students to feel like they belong, but figuring out how to make real inclusion happen can feel overwhelming. You're balancing student needs, staff capacity, and the reality that change doesn't happen overnight.
That's where I come in.
I work alongside school teams to cut through the confusion and create practical, lasting change. Whether you're opening the conversation about inclusion for the first time or hitting roadblocks after years of trying, I'm here to help you move forward—step by step, at a pace that works for your school.
Every partnership looks a little different because every school is different. There's no pre-set formula here. We'll figure out together what inclusion can look like in your school and how to get there in a way that sticks.
How I Support Schools
I work directly with a team from your school—the people who will lead the shift toward more inclusive practices. This ongoing coaching can occur weekly or bi-monthly (virtually or in person).

We'll focus on:

-
Assessing where you are now: What's working? What's getting in the way?
-
Planning your next steps: What's realistic for your school culture and community?
-
Trying new strategies: What small changes could make a big difference?
-
Reflecting & adjusting: What needs more time? What's ready to grow?

You're the experts on your students and your school. I'm here to help guide the process, problem-solve when things get stuck, and offer tools that can work in real classrooms.

Sometimes, teams need dedicated time to build their skills together. I offer training and professional development workshops tailored to your school's goals. These sessions are always practical, focusing on real-life solutions you can bring into your classrooms the next day.
Some common training topics:

-
Shifting School Culture Toward Inclusion
-
Supporting Students with Extensive Support Needs in General Ed
-
Building Peer Relationships Across All Abilities
-
Accessing the General Education Curriculum
-
Creating IEPs That Support True Inclusion

Not sure what your team needs? We can figure that out together.
Problem-Solving Together
There's no map for this work. Every school hits bumps along the way. Sometimes, it's pushback from staff, sometimes it's a student who needs a different approach, and sometimes it's just feeling stuck.

When we work together, you're never figuring those things out alone. I'm here to discuss challenges, offer ideas, and adjust the plan.

Real inclusion isn't built in a day. It happens little by little, conversation by conversation, change by change.
What Makes This Different?
-
No One-Size-Fits-All Approach: Every school is unique. I help you build an inclusion plan for your school's staff, students, and community.
-
Real Classroom Experience: I've been a paraeducator, a special education teacher, and an education specialist. I know what it's like when a plan sounds good on paper but falls apart in practice. Everything I suggest is grounded in what works.
-
Ongoing Partnership: This isn't about a one-time workshop that gets forgotten by Monday. We work together over time—through the challenges and the wins.
Who This Is For
I work with schools ready to move forward—even if you're unsure exactly how. Whether your school is starting to explore inclusion or you've been working on it for years and feel stuck, we can build a path forward together.
