Inclusive Sex Education Resources

Empowering Educators and Parents to Foster Healthy Conversations

At Inclusion Starts Now, we believe that comprehensive sex education is essential for all students, regardless of ability. Our curated resources aim to support educators and parents in delivering inclusive, accessible, and age-appropriate information.

Breaking the Silence: Inclusive Sex Education for Students with Disabilities

Did you know that sex education is rarely taught in special education classrooms?

As a special education teacher, I quickly realized that many of my students had never received any form of sex education. This isn't just a "one-time talk"—it should be an ongoing conversation that empowers students with the knowledge and skills they need to navigate the world safely.

Students with disabilities are often at higher risk of being taken advantage of, which is why it's essential to teach them about consent, personal boundaries, body awareness, and the power of saying "NO." Understanding values, learning the difference between public and private behaviors, and developing self-advocacy skills are critical for every student.

I offer training for both educators and students to make these conversations inclusive, accessible, and age-appropriate.

Need Extra Support? Let's Talk!

Sex education should be inclusive, ongoing, and accessible for all students. If you need guidance, resources, or training to make these conversations effective, I'm here to help!
